Chelsea History Festival
The past will be brought back to life in an immersive mixture of digital and physical events for the Chelsea History Festival 2020.
Following a successful first year that saw over 10,000 people enjoy a diverse programm of speakers, historians and performers in the heart of London, the Chelsea History Festival is returning for a second year, 17-27 September 2020.
Launched in October 2019, the Chelsea History Festival will be an annual festival aiming to inspire and entertain visitors from near and far. It explores and celebrates history in a way that is accessible for all. The festival is a partnership between three major heritage sites along Royal Hospital Road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea: the National Army Museum, the Royal Hospital Chelsea and Chelsea Physic Garden.
In response to the pandemic, the Chelsea History Festival will be hosting short films and digital content exploring the hidden histories of one of London’s most historic and beautiful districts. There will be no physical events held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea this year as the venue is still closed to the public.
